What are the correct fuses to use in my Pinball Machine…?
I have a Stern Trident Pinball machine
The board that the fuses are installed on states the following:
F(1) – 10A AGC
F(2) – 3/4A
F(3) – 4A AGC
F(4) – 7A MDL
F(5) – 20A AGC
F(6) – 3A ???
Currently installed (which are different than whats written on the board) are:
F(2) – 5A MDL
F(4) – 8A MDL
Does it matter that these fuses are higher than the what is written on the circuit board??? And slo-blo and fast-blo (AGC & MDL) correct?
Also, can a 1/4 AGX mini-fuse be substituted with anything else (as these are hard to find)?

P.S.: I wouldn’t worry about F(4); going from 7 Amps to 8 Amps isn’t that big of a deal. But F(2) is another matter altogether! A jump from 0.75 Amps up to 5 Amps is crazy — nearly 700% — that’s begging for disaster. I’d put a proper 0.75 Amp fuse in there, or perhaps as high as 1 Amp, but I wouldn’t go any higher than that without some sort of proof that the 0.75 Amp figure was absolutely wrong. That’s why you need to check the rec.games.pinball newsgroup, someone there should be able to tell you whether that 0.75 is accurate or a mistake.
